Catalonia Playa Maroma, Punta Maroma

The hotel rooms are very nice and large with comfortable beds and AC, although they are pretty far from the eating places and the swimming pool, which was under construction. The service had some attitude and was a bit pushy for us to listen to their timeshare pitch, but the main reception bar had nothing to do with that problema and provided repellent spray. The location is lush and inviting, although it gets noisy during the day from activities, but the beach area is more quiet and serene. The dining options were great, especially the Tapas restaurant. Facilities were well-maintained, offering a good value for money experience.

The hotel is perfectly placed between Tulum and Cancun, making it ideal for exploring both cities. The rooms are large and very comfortable, with an occasional issue of noise from the AC. The service is top-notch, with incredibly accommodating staff going out of their way to ensure a fantastic stay. The location is excellently maintained and offers access to an amazing beach. The dining experience is set apart by a tranquil jungle path and a varied and delicious buffet. Overall, a delightful stay with minor room noise concerns.
